Although I have been to Feebay.Co @ Avenue K before, it was after a media event courtesy of Avenue K. I hadn’t been to try anything on the menu until the 2nd day of CNY, 2nd Feb 2022. We were there just before 6pm and there was a short queue. We were ushered to a table after the waitress checked our vaccination status on MySejahtera (very good as they are protecting themselves and other patrons).
Menus are already on the table, the restaurant was quite full with only a few vacant tables. Te menu selection is wide with Western and local dishes. They have a breakfast selection too which looks yummy and there are many beverage choices, teas, coffees and cold drinks.
I couldn’t resist the Spicy Clam Chowder with Seabass as I love seafood and clam chowder sounds so good. There were 2 pieces of deep fried seabass and 6 clams in the chowder. The chowder was thick, creamy and yes, spicy. Unfortunately, 3 of the 6 clams refused to yield their contents, they remained firmly shut despite numerous attempts to prise them open with a knife. Nevertheless, a wonderful dish as the chowder was rich and went beautifully with the mantao, 4 pieces.
For the Fettucine Carbonara, you can choose between beef bacon and grilled chicken breast. The sauce was creamy and there are white button mushrooms within.
The Flat White is beautifully presented with not a cookie but a kuih bahulu which is so tasty that I want a whole tub.
