Some of you may recall my facial sponge haul at AEON Wellness some time back (in fact it’s over a year ago). I must commend the merchandiser of AEON Wellness at MidValley because there are always new facial sponges there, all below RM10.
I spotted the Chitin sponge this morning, no idea at that time what Chitin is but I had a feeling it had something to do with crabs as there’re crab illustrations on the pink packet. Oho! A quick check with Wikipedia told me that it is a characteristic component of the cell walls of fungi, the exoskeletons of arthropods such as crustaceans (e.g., crabs, lobsters and shrimps).
