A life-sized pinwheel tower standing 18 feet tall draws your eye to the stage and hundreds of pinwheels dotted in and around the Atrium set the scene for this year’s theme ‘Pinwheels of Good Fortune’. The Chinese believe that “auspicious” pinwheels blow away bad luck and bring good fortune so there is plenty of luck and fortune for all at Avenue K Shopping Mall.
Giant pinwheels also sit atop the stalls and a magnificent cherry blossom tree has been placed in the centre of the marketplace to add to the festive air. Striking lanterns and beautiful cherry blossoms sprinkled liberally in every direction complete this feast for the eyes.
All your shopping essentials are covered at Avenue K with celebratory goodies and gifts from booth vendors like La Vie de Reve, Customind and Village Grocer. You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to the extensive range of apparel and accessories from Tang-Jin and Bei Bei Collection respectively.
Immerse yourself in the festivities with a line up of cultural performances such as Beauties from the East and Street Art Lion Dance held on the weekends starting 15 January 2022.
Make sure to attend Avenue K’s signature event – the Acrobatic Lion Dance by Kun Seng Keng Lion Dance Troupe and Wealth Ushering Ceremony where mandarin oranges are rolled out to usher in good fortune, happiness and longevity on 8 February 2022.
