MAC Cosmetics Makeup Suite For IIFA 2015

For the 3 days of IIFA events from 5-7 June 2015, MAC Cosmetics provided makeup services by appointments and on-call services at JW Marriott. The makeup team included 24 MAC Artists from Malaysia, India, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.

A typical day at the MAC Makeup Suite started at 2pm till late as ladies who had made appointments came in to get made up and a chat with Senior Artist Haritha Shan, provided me with information that the Artists referenced 3 looks for the Red Carpet Makeup:-

1. neutral eyes with pop of colour on lips (or neutral lips)

2. strong liner look with neutral lips (or strong shade on lips)

3. smoky eye look with neutral lips (or strong shade on lips)

Thanks to MAC Cosmetics, I had the opportunity to get a makeover too from one of the trainers of MAC Northern India, Navreet whose figure and makeup I was looking at in admiration as she’s so fit and looks not out of place in any Bollywood movie.

Navreet kept the eyes neutral with a strong colour on lips. The lipstick is Pink Pigeon, unavailable here but part of the permanent lipstick collection in India. I thought I wouldn’t like this shade but I was wrong. It’s a neon pink which is quite similar to Candy Yum-Yum.

 
I loved Navreet’s attention to detail and for all the work she did in making Lash 36 curl up as much as it did. It was nice chatting with her as she worked.
