Having an express facial is a good way of getting introduced to a brand’s products. This way, you can know immediately whether you like a product or not. I had a Murad Express Facial recently and it introduced me to a lot of Murad products and it wasn’t as express as I thought, it lasted over an hour.
Murad @ 1 Utama doesn’t have a facial room with a bed, it has a facial chair and the space is rather cramped. The space is separated from public viewing by curtains so you can still hear people’s chatter as they pass by the kiosk.
The facial began with cleansing – Murad Refreshing Cleanser 200ml/RM160 was used. This is a non-drying, foaming cleanser which can remove make-up. Cucumber extract soothes as it refreshes. Hawaiian White Ginger and Algae Extracts soften and smooth skin.
Double cleansing was with Murad Essential-C Cleanser 200ml/RM218. Contains Phospholipids and Sodium PCA to attract and bind moisture to skin. Vitamins A, C and E defend skin from free radical damage. Allantoin and Panthenol soothe environmentally stressed skin.
My skin was toned with Essential-C Toner 180ml/RM188. Contains Coneflower and Licorice Root Extracts to brighten skin.
Murad Skin & Lip Care 15ml/RM115 was applied to lips, this one does feel very hydrating and I would love to use it everyday.
Next the beautician applied a professional use treatment Intensive-C Radiance Peel and left it on for 10 minutes, this has a tingling sensation because of the enzymes. While the mask was on, the beautician massaged my hands with Body Firming Cream. After the treatment was wiped off, a second mask, Soothing & Hydrating Mask was applied for 15 minutes.
After the mask was wiped off, Murad Hydrating Toner 180ml/RM138 was sprayed. I like this one as it has a peach scent. It contains peach and cucumber extracts to soften skin as well as Lecithin and Grape Seed Extracts to help restore suppleness.
Murad Renewing Eye Cream 15ml/RM398 (I know, it is rather expensive!) was applied. Contains Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 to reduce medium-to-deep crow’s feet and diminishes puffiness for a brighter appearance. There’s also Yam and Soybean to dramatically increase moisture, elasticity and firmness and natural emollients to boost moisture.
Next was Murad Sensitive Skin Soothing Serum 30ml/RM278.
Last but not least, Murad Essential-C Day Moisture SPF30 PA+++ 50ml/RM338. Next generation Vitamin C and the patented Skin Repair System improve radiance, firmness and elasticity.
Oh yes, a very relaxing facial despite having to lie on a chair. At least I had a hydrating and satisfying facial.
