YB Hannah Yeoh officiates the launch of LTH
Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport BUKIT BINTANG CITY CENTRE (hereinafter referred to as “LaLaport BBCC”) today officially launched the LaLaport Transportation Hub (LTH), designed to offer a secure, comfortable, and efficient travel experience for passengers. This launch marks a significant milestone for LaLaport BBCC as LTH has been developed with the support and guidance of the Government. It is approved by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), and recognised and licensed by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD), that brings travelers directly into a vibrant retail destination, seamlessly integrating long-distance travel with premium shopping.
The event was officiated by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Yang Berhormat Hannah Yeoh. It was also attended by the Deputy Director of Development of APAD Azri Borhan, Mayor of Kuala Lumpur Yang Berbahagia Datuk Seri TPr Fadlun Mak Ujud, and Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia H.E Noriyuki Shikata. Operational in phases since February this year, LTH serves as a centralised node aimed at optimising travel transit through high-quality infrastructure for both local and international travellers.
The development of LTH also received attention from the Ministry of Transport, with Yang Berhormat Anthony Loke visiting the site in January 2026 to review its progress ahead of commencement of operations.
Facilities for Comfort and Convenience
Located on Level LG1 at East Atrium, the LTH is a fully sheltered facility, featuring 11 bus bays, a dedicated air-conditioned waiting lounge, physical counters and self-service machines, and a Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) for real-time bus schedules. Travellers have immediate access to essential services within LaLaport BBCC, including automated teller machines (ATMs), money changers, luggage lockers, 24-hour security monitoring, complimentary Wi-Fi, restrooms, and accessible facilities tailored for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PwD).
Integrated Connectivity
LaLaport BBCC integrates multiple mobility options under one roof. The LTH is strategically linked to major public transport networks, offering direct pedestrian access to the Hang Tuah LRT and Monorail stations, as well as nearby MRT connectivity, enabling seamless transfers between rail and bus networks. Beyond these major rail linkages and the express bus services at LTH, LaLaport BBCC features
Boleh-Boleh Ride on-demand shuttle service connecting passengers to key destinations within Kuala Lumpur, alongside dedicated e-hailing pick-up and drop-off zones at the Pudu Entrance and Hang Tuah Entrance.
Approximately 30 bus operators will utilise LTH as a primary transit point in the city centre, specifically for cross-border Kuala Lumpur-Singapore routes. LTH also features dedicated shuttle van services to KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, providing a smoother airport transfer alternative for airport-bound travellers.
Driving Sustainable Mobility
By consolidating diverse transit modes in one location, the hub supports a sustainable urban transportation ecosystem. Promoting public rail networks, ride-sharing, and first-to-last-mile solutions directly reduces reliance on private cars, helping to lower carbon emissions and alleviate city traffic congestion. Located within a vibrant cluster of shopping, office, and residential spaces, this integrated setup creates synergies, stimulating economic activity and revitalising the surrounding community.

“Because the hub is located within the mall, passengers and travellers can easily tap into everything LaLaport BBCC has to offer while they wait, with approximately 300 stores, including food and beverage outlets, practical retail offerings, and diverse entertainment experiences,” Saito added.
Inspiration and Management
The LTH draws inspiration from Mitsui Fudosan’s successful integrated transportation hub developments in Japan, such as Tokyo Midtown Yaesu and its ongoing Tsukiji redevelopment, where transport infrastructure, retail, and lifestyle amenities coexist seamlessly in one destination.
Bringing a proven blueprint to LaLaport BBCC reflects Mitsui Fudosan’s commitment to urban enrichment and enhancing the overall traveller experience. The hub is operated by Asia Success Resources Sdn. Bhd. (ASR), an experienced transportation hub operator with a strong track record at KLIA Terminal 2. LTH was developed in partnership with Semba Corporation, which oversaw the functional planning and overall design concept to create a welcoming, practical transit space.
