A Taste Of Paris At La Vie De Reve Avenue K

La Vie De Reve Avenue K

Little tea/cake shops are great places to hang out for an afternoon with a friend or friends. La Vie De Reve @ Avenue K is a cosy cafe which has a Parisian ambiance. I wouldn’t say it’s that Instagram-worthy – it needs a bit more space to qualify as Instagram-worthy but from what I have tasted, the teas & mini gateaux are excellent. So is the service, the manager and other staff are nice and attentive.

La Vie En Rose too pretty to eat

The waitress brings over the selection of fine teas so you can choose, they will explain what the teas are and you can smell the samples to decide which one you prefer. You don’t have to lift a finger here to refill your cup as the staff are ever ready to do that for you. The teapot gets refilled as often as you need. I chose a rose scented tea to go with the appropriately named La Vie En Rose mini gateau which is too pretty to cut up. It almost broke my heart haha!

There are fruity as well as flowery teas, I prefer flowery teas. Any rose tea gets me excited so luckily they offer that here. The teas are definitely good quality and the gateau was one of the best I’ve had. The manager explained that all the baked goods contain 50% less sugar and it’s true, it was less sweet than what at other cafes I have been to.
