German footwear brand, Obermain opens its new concept and flagship store in Malaysia today. Located at F-057, first floor of Mid Valley Megamall Kuala Lumpur, its Retro & Modern Industrial inspired décor invites customers into its luxurious space with warm setting for an ultimate shopping experience. The new store embraces the retro and the contemporary, masculinity and femininity, colours and textures all within its 1227 sq ft space.
Obermain’s new concept store is replete with the brand’s latest collection of men and women’s footwear, women’s carrywear, and small leather goods for men. Notably, the launch of this flagship also marks the debut of Obermain Men Apparel, further strengthening its presence in the fashion industry. Drawing inspiration from timeless pieces and classic designs, the debut collection features basic t-shirts, men’s formal and casual shirts.
In 1974, Obermain first launched its men’s footwear in Malaysia and has since established itself as stylish yet comfortable footwear, engineered with German technology. The women’s footwear category was later introduced in 2012 together with the reflex-zone-bed technology to gently stimulate the feet while you’re wearing them. A stimulation of the reflex-zone causes harmonic change between exertion and relaxation, and thus boosts general well-being. This brings about relaxed muscles, decreased stress, increased blood circulation, improved breathing and digestive system. A competent medic developed the reflex-zone-bed and it’s made out of soft natural material, which can be worn the whole day without causing overstimulation.
In addition, select Obermain shoes are made with the Obermain Active Flex technology, which gives them ultimate bendability. With bendable forefoot, the dynamic natural movement curve at the frontal area allows maximum multi-directional flexibility and provides comfort in every step that you take. The flagship store houses the latest men’s shoes collection, which features four new ranges to suit every style and need. Rainor is rugged looking mid-boots that matches well with a gingham flannel shirt and chino pants. Clement lace-up shoes are more suited for a polished look in crisp white button down shirts and dark denims. The preppy guys can check out Andrew, the calf leather penny loafers that are perfect for skinny jeans. Then there are Cale loafers with tassel or lace-up details for that semi-formal function.
As for the women’s latest shoes collection, Blute I and Blute II slip-on platform wedges with lovely prints add a feminine touch to casual ensembles. Alternatively, Jude II platform wedges, available in black and camel, provide a hippy ‘70s vibe. Livana III and Livana IV leather sandals are perfect for that summer holiday. They come in options of with or without ankle straps, and in colour variations of blue, red, beige, and brown.
The store’s opening was graced by the presence of Indonesian pop singer and heartthrob, Afgan, whose concert on 3 September in Kuala Lumpur sees Obermain as the main presenter. New Malaysian faces such as Daler Yusuf, Puteri Aishah, Daniel Woodroof and Amelia Henderson also joined in to celebrate this momentous occasion. A fashion show featuring Obermain’s latest men and women’s collection as well as the men’s apparel, closes the event on a cheerful note for the brand’s new milestone.
