The incomparable Swiss Dream Circus’ Gala Night on 1 August set the tone for the mall’s anniversary celebrations with a night to remember.
The highly-acclaimed Swiss Dream Circus, making its Malaysian comeback with an all-new production titled Passion – The Greatest Show in Town, features a vibrant 14-member international troupe headlined by Misha, the celebrated clown known for his role in Cirque du Soleil. The show also stars Cyr Wheel virtuoso Bogdan, roller-skating duo Diana and Maksim, Andrei Pogorelov’s daring Wheel of Death, violinist-singer Evgeniia, the lightning-fast Quick Change duo Tom & Jenny, and Emiliano Sanchez’s mesmerising horizontal juggling and the electrifying aerialists Duo Liberty, each bringing their own flair to this mesmerising spectacle.
Nimble, acrobatic and filled with high energy, the troupe at the Gala Night delivered an amazing performance lasting 2 and half hours of aerial displays and heart-stopping stunts, all seamlessly interwoven with music and lights to leave the audience enthralled from start to end.
The exclusive, by-invitation only Gala Night welcomed guests under the Big Top for a world-class circus act, with guest of honour DYMM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin in attendance.
Reflecting Sime Darby Property’s commitment to social responsibility and its ongoing efforts to uplift underserved communities within its townships, the Group invited 125 children and caretakers from several welfare homes to experience the show. A first time for them, the beneficiaries from Great Heart Charity Association, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Dan Perlindungan Al-Haq Malaysia, Pusat Jagaan Rahoma Subang Jaya and Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti, among others, were mesmerised by the magical night.
The Gala Night also marked the start of Swiss Dream Circus’ full performance season at Elmina Lakeside Mall, with 27 public shows scheduled between 2 to 24 August 2025. The Switzerland-based circus’ all-new cast and production will showcase up to 10 breathtaking acts. In addition to the Swiss Dream Circus, visitors and residents of City of Elmina can expect a range of other anniversary activities until September 14. The mall will be a hive of activity with various arts, culture, fitness and family-friendly activities with highlights such as the Monopoly Run, the final leg of the iconic Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival and a spectacular Merdeka Eve musical and fireworks display, featuring a live performance by the Selangor Symphony Orchestra, as well as hot air balloon rides and other exciting activities.
