Ouidad’s Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel is a styling aid for taming frizz and fly-aways. It contains a heat-activated European Wheat Protein complex which has a shielding effect on hair that “breathes” with the humidity, protecting the hair shaft and helping to prevent hair from expanding. It protects hair from blow-dryer heat when a straight style is required.
This is an incredibly lightweight gel (feels more like liquid actually) which I apply to my hair after towel drying. There is no stickiness at all and as I blow dry my hair, my hair feels soft and manageable. I like this styling aid because it doesn’t feel like I have applied anything on my hair. Normally, styling aids leave a bit of residue or build-up but this one tames the frizz in my hair without weighing it down.
It’s the ideal styling aid for humid conditions since it works with the humidity. Since I don’t have curls, I can’t speak for the effect it will have on curly hair but it keeps my straight hair looking sleek till the next shampoo.
