Meet Dermalogica® Kit

Meet Dermalogica® Kit is the perfect introduction to the brand as the kit contains all the basic care you’d need for your skin. It’s good for me since I’ve never used Dermalogica® before (other than the mask sample) and other than a toner, I couldn’t have asked for much more out of this starter set.

According to the product description on the back of the box, these 4 products are Dermalogica®’s most popular products. When I received this box at the launch of their “Get Naked” campaign, I couldn’t wait to try them out just to see what the fuss was all about as I know there’re plenty of loyal fans of the brand.

Special Cleansing Gel 50ml

The foam is not thick or a lot but it cleanses very well and can be used on the eye area without stinging or irritation. Doesn’t make my skin feel tight after it’s been washed off. I believe this one is actually for oily skins.

Daily Microfoliant® 13g

One of Dermalogica®’s star products and a bestseller. Contains rice flour and comes in the form of loose powder/fine grains which has to be mixed with a bit of water so that it’s a paste when applied to skin. I like this one because it really feels like an effective exfoliant, yet gentle enough to use everyday. Skin feels so much finer, softer and smoother afterwards. Just have to make sure that it’s properly mixed with water before applying otherwise you might inhale the grains.

Skin Smoothing Cream 22ml

Can’t really rave about this one, I think it’s an average moisturiser which doesn’t stand out as a star product for me. Not loving the scent either but it is not unpleasant. At least it’s not thick and absorbs into skin pronto.

MultiVitamin Power Firm 5ml

Absolutely love the scent as it has a fruity scent (like a combination of berries), wish there was a shower gel/body lotion with this scent. It will feel silicone-y on skin simply because it contains silicones. While it’s moisturising and feels great on the eyelids and under-eye area, 5ml is too little to see whether fine lines will be reduced.
