DagangHalal.com, one of the world’s largest Halal B2B e-Marketplaces, is partnering with Tastefully, Malaysia’s largest consumer food and beverage exhibitor to initiate the Karnival DagangHalal exhibition
from the 29th of September to the 1st of October 2023 at IOI City Mall. The Karnival was officiated by YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na’im Bin Haji Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
Social Commerce for MSMEs DagangHalal has partnered with TikTok Malaysia to onboard participating businesses at the Karnival to TikTok Shop, enabling MSMEs to leverage on a new form of social commerce. The Karnival also acts as a platform for the same MSMEs to digitise, transform and adapt, and make in-roads towards a global USD3.27 trillion Halal market by 2028.

“Businesses that embrace digital transformation and innovation are better positioned to seize and leverage on opportunities that lie ahead. Our Karnival is more than just a merger of retail and e-Commerce – but a realisation of our vision in redefining the Halal shopping experience for both the business and consumer,” said Mr. Sam Hwang Seak Wai, Chief Executive Officer of DagangHalal.com.

Top sellers and creators from TikTok Shop such as Bos Molly and Mr Bentong also graced the event, showcasing their talent during meet-and-greet sessions, provided tips to aspiring entrepreneurs and even jumped on several on-ground livestreams. The event is supported by TikTok Shop where Ms. Nur Azre, Head of Events of Partnerships included in her presentation that they are putting the tools-of-the-trade
into the hands of entrepreneurs. TikTok Shop’s collaboration with DagangHalal marked their commitment to help local businesses onboard to TikTok Shop, and they even provided added benefits to new merchants to make the transition smoother.

More Halal Experiences, More Value to Stakeholders
“Karnival DagangHalal is always about ‘MORE’ – more halal products, for more delightful experiences for both MSMEs and the consumer. This may be our first Karnival, but it won’t be last. We will be back in 2024, bigger, better, and bolder – delivering more opportunities and bargains for everyone online and on-ground,” said Sam Hwang.
