The thing about facials which last more than an hour is you’re lying there and listening to songs which you may not particularly like and cringe when they’re played and worse, these songs are on a loop so you’ll more than likely hear them at least twice. During this facial at Cres Wellness, I heard Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” and Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” twice or maybe thrice.
Okay okay, I will get to the point. I was invited by Cres to try out their latest facial, Plotox Micro Facelift which retails at RM525 but their 1st trial is RM199 with the option of signing up for a 8x package at RM1,999. The facial uses nanotechnology and biological liposome encapsulating technology to combine the anti-aging factor “Green Peptides” and whitening factor “AHAS” to penetrate quickly into deep skin cells to provide nutrition to the cell. The purpose is to increase the production of collagen and elastic fibers.
So after the double cleansing, the beautician applied the Bio-mask which is the scrub with pineapple enzymes. This one smells so tropical and it’s very relaxing as I inhaled the fruity scent. It’s left on for 5 minutes before being massaged off after water has been applied.
After my skin had been exfoliated, softening lotion was applied on cotton pads and placed all over my face and the steam machine with cold mist was over my face in preparation for the extraction process which was very thorough. I could feel that the beautician went for every little blackhead with skilled hands.
Next the beautician applied the Lifting Concentrate which feels cooling, soothing and very comforting. She applied it in an upward motion. The Lifting Concentrate contains natural minerals such as calcium, sodium, potassium, all of which improve skin regulating function, anti-aging, restore skin elasticity and fullness.
Then the Repair Cell Concentate was applied, it has the following properties/benefits:-
• Contains a variety of natural plant active cell extracts
• Enhances facial contours, makes skin firm, smooth and elastic
• Activates cells, stops and prevents further wrinkles forming
• Effectively repairs damaged cells, stimulate collagen regeneration
After a layer of Repair Cell Concentrate was applied, the machine was used which lifts and firms skin. It looks like a laser beam is directed at my skin but it doesn’t hurt nor is does it cause discomfort. I’ve never tried this kind of treatment before, kind of interesting! It felt slightly warm.
The massage by the beautician’s own hands was excellent as I could feel like she was really firming up my skin. This is the kind of facial massage anyone would love as it’s firm and feels like it’s helping my skin look less saggy!
The last step of the facial was the Cold Mask which is for rapidly tightening and firming up the face resulting in a sharp and lifted look. Removes signs of tiredness and puffiness. Brightens the complexion adding glow and radiance. The mask was left on for about 15 minutes, For the 1st 5 minutes, the beautician massaged my tired shoulders and back, that was bliss as she massages so well.
After the mask had been washed off, the beautician applied Reversal Venom Essence which relaxes facial muscles. It contains Syn-Ake which is a synthetic tri-peptide derivative that mimics the activity of Waglerin 1 (a polypeptide found in the venom of the Temple Viper), developed by PENTAPHARM. This snake venom-like active compound can inhibit muscle contractions and has excellent smoothing and fast anti-wrinkle properties. Syn-Ake is used in quite a few Korean skincare products from what I have noticed.
The results are pretty good, my skin felt and looked firmer and definitely benefited from all the beautician’s ministrations, the machine and the skincare used during the facial. I’ve had a few facials at Cres now and I have enjoyed every single one of them as I see positive results from the different facials experienced.
