Over 200 seniors and visitors joined in Sunway Sanctuary’s inaugural fun-filled carnival themed Carnival of Health, Wellness and Fun, in conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons 2025. The Carnival featured more than 22 lifestyle booths, offering games, food, and artisanal vendors, as well as health and wellness talks by healthcare professionals from the Sunway Healthcare Group. The event also included lively aqua and aerobics fitness sessions, interactive workshops, and dedicated wellness screenings.
At Sunway Sanctuary’s Wellness Centre, seniors had the opportunity to undergo vital signs checks, InBody analysis, balance and eye tests, as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) screening conducted by Sunway TCM experts.

Other retail booths included Sunway Kedai Runcit, Sunway Medispa, and Sunway Resort, as well as a wellness tea brand with modern AI diagnostics, jewellery and accessories stalls, a manicure-on-wheels
service, cosmetics, fresh popcorn, a coffee bar, and game stations such as archery, bullseye ring, hole-in-one, pickleball, and many more.
“This initiative is part of the Sunway Sanctuary’s aim to celebrate and honour our seniors who have shared their knowledge, aspirations and experiences with us throughout their lives, contributing to society, and committed to keeping an active lifestyle,” said Vivien Lim, Director of Sales & Marketing, Sunway Sanctuary.
“Aging is not a process of decline, but rather a powerful agent of change, shaping and driving action locally and globally, ensuring their rights and voices are heard, promoting dignity and dismantling
stigmas,” she continued.

The day kicked off with an energised tune of the ‘Macarena & YMCA’, as seniors at Sunway Sanctuary danced along with a flash mob to set a high-spirited tone for the event.
