Sungei Wang Plaza Launches International Tourist Reward Campaign Ahead Of Visit Malaysia Year 2026

Sungei Wang Plaza is excited to unveil its brand-new International Tourist Reward Campaign, an engaging experience designed especially for international travellers as Malaysia prepares to welcome the world for Visit Malaysia Year 2026. The long-term program invites tourists to discover the vibrant charm of Bukit Bintang through exploration, rewards, culture, and the mall’s signature eclectic spirit.

Opened in 1977, Sungei Wang Plaza is the oldest mall in Bukit Bintang and remains one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic shopping landmarks. Today, the mall continues to flourish as a beauty-focused experiential hub, anchored by Cold Storage, JUMPA@Sungei Wang, Blastacars, Camp5, MR. DIY, and the 5,000-capacity Mega Star Arena.

A Fresh Way for Travellers to Explore Sungei Wang Plaza
Created to help visitors experience the best of what the mall offers, the International Tourist Rewards begins at the Information Counter, Ground Floor, where tourists can register to receive the Exclusive Tourist Postcard and enjoy 500 Free AirAsia Welcome Points.

More than just a guide, the postcard is a curated journey through Sungei Wang Plaza’s hidden corners — bringing travellers through fashion lanes, quirky lifestyle finds, nostalgic photo spots, hobby stores, beauty stops, and local creative brands. As visitors wander through the mall, they can collect stamps from designated checkpoints, turning a simple shopping trip into a fun, immersive, and Instagram-friendly adventure.

Tourists who register for the postcard will also gain access to exclusive promotions and privileges by participating stores. Also, tourists may additionally pick up the mall’s new Kuala Lumpur City Map, a pocket-friendly guide to exploring the wider Bukit Bintang neighbourhood.

Exclusive International Tourist Redemption
To commemorate their visit, tourists can redeem a limited-edition Sungei Wang Plaza × Loka Made Tote Bag, featuring artwork inspired by the colourful energy of Kuala Lumpur, through two simple methods: spend a minimum of RM150 in a maximum of two (2) receipts in any outlets in Sungei Wang Plaza, or collect all official postcard stamps from the designated checkpoints and make a minimum total spend of RM80 in up to two receipts. Redemptions are available at the Information Counter, Ground Floor, on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Sungei Wang Plaza has always been a shopping landmark for travellers looking for authentic local experiences. With the International Tourist Reward Campaign, we hope to offer every tourist a journey filled with discovery — from our diverse retail offerings to our cultural highlights and creative collaborations. These initiatives will offer greater value, unique experiences, and an engaging journey for shoppers and international travellers ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026,” said Mr. Ng Yih Chen, Chairman of Sungei Wang Plaza Management Corporation. “
