Tucked away in a quiet corner of 1Utama is a small organic skincare shop, “My Beauty Cottage”. Opened in September 2010, they offer a wide range of facial treatments with interesting names such as “The Sweet Cheeks Hydrating Treatment”, “Stone Crop Restoring Treatment”, “Garlic Tomato Acne Treatment” and “Blueberry Bliss Anti-Aging Treatment”.

In Malaysia, “My Beauty Cottage” are the sole stockists of Eminence organic skincare from Hungary. Entering the shop, you might think you’ve been transported to a cottage in the Cotswolds, all that’s missing is a fireplace, a good book and a cat on your lap. Sometimes when I enter beauty salons, I feel a bit intimidated by the clinical ambience but there was such a homely feel to “My Beauty Cottage” that I felt I was in someone’s home instead of a retail shop.

Though I didn’t have time to check out all the skincare in more detail, I noticed that they have Eminence organic skincare starter sets packaged in hand crafted wooden boxes, customized for every skin type. Each set consists of 15ml x 5 jars for oily, normal, dry and sensitive skins. With daily usage, each set should last at least 1-1.5 months.

Other than facial treatments, “My Beauty Cottage” also offers body treatments with rather delicious sounding names, “Chocolate Hydrating Treatment” and “Green Apple Detoxifying Treatment”. Eminence organic skincare are handmade with herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers.
