Halloween is gaining in popularity here from what I’ve observed in the days leading up to Oct 31st as I’ve seen people shopping for Halloween costumes, masks and other paraphernalia. Of course, the fact that Halloween so happens to fall on a Saturday may have something to do with more people being able to let their hair down and celebrating yesterday. It’s the one day in the year when we can put on weird and wonderful costumes and make-up and no one will blink or bat an eyelash.

Yesterday afternoon, I spent about an hour at Snips Academy Of Creative Art in Sungei Wang Plaza (SCCA) and thanks to the very kind and gracious founder of SCCA, Dato’ Mike Loh and his PA, Simonne who arranged my fully sponsored Halloween Face Art session, I has make-up so fabulous that I was at a loss for words.

The make-up artist was the very talented Michelle who also created the Halloween looks seen during my 1st visit to SCCA. I was seated in a very comfortable chair and could even lie back and close my eyes during the session. I sweat very easily and Michelle had to keep wiping my forehead otherwise it’d spoil her handiwork.

Michelle asked me what look I wanted and since I had a black and gold skull and bones cloak as well as a devilish headband, I requested for a demon look and Michelle obliged using mainly red and purple eye shadow but what was really surprising is, SCCA had generously provided me with a pair of beautiful and long purple lashes too. Now that was so unexpected and I was so touched when Michelle informed me that Simonne had included it for my use.

The result of the Halloween Face Art was far better than I could ever have imagined. Michelle informed me that she was a hair stylist before learning make-up and has only been doing make-up for about a year. I thought she’s been a make-up artist for years. Just look at her work below.

I loved the make-up, it was amazing, beautiful, stunning, marvelous, superb, extraordinary, impressive, breathtaking, stupefying, striking and stunning! Oh yes, people must be getting used to Halloween looks since I didn’t get as many weird stares as I expected.

Many thanks to Dato’ Mike Loh, Simonne and Michelle for this unforgettable Halloween Face Art.
