Since my first visit to Coci Coci’s then newly opened outlet at MidValley, Essence Cosmetics is now available at selected Watson’s outlets such as the one in Sunway Pyramid. It’s actually better to browse Essence products at Watson’s because there’s no promoter following me around.
Essence’s soft touch mousse make-up is a mousse foundation available in 6 shades according to their website but only the 4 lightest are available here. 04 Soft Ivory is the lightest shade followed by 01, 02, 03 and so on. Don’t know why it’s like that, even the promoter couldn’t tell me why when I asked.
04 is a tad too light even for me so I settled for 01 Matt Sand. The foundation has a bouncy texture and since it’s a mousse, has a lightweight feel to it. It has a somewhat synthetic scent which can be off-putting to some.
Coverage isn’t great, at best it’s medium coverage as it doesn’t conceal any spots/imperfections. It does feel very soft and smooth on the skin though. Once the mousse has been applied evenly, it feels like a powder on skin. It’s a “barely there” foundation which keep skin looking natural. It’s probably an okay foundation for days when you just want a bit of coverage but it I won’t wear this foundation if I am attending a function/dinner/event where I want to look my best.
Essence soft touch mousse make-up is available at Coci Coci, Jalan Bukit Bintang and MidValley, also at selected Watson’s outlets where it is sometimes on 10% discount but at RM18.90 for 16g, it is already reasonably priced.
